World Book Day at Willesborough Infants and Junior School

On World Book Day we were invited in to Willesborough Infants and Junior School to talk about our new book and to host a story workshop on bees!  We played the Honey Pot game to understand just how hard bees work to make a whole pot of honey, then we learnt about how long bees have been on the planet – far longer than you can imagine.  The children also got to win wildflower seeds (thank you Singleton Environment Centre for providing them) to help boost the bee population in their own gardens.

Prior to our visit the children prepared some bee gardens. Have a look at Our Pictures in the Gallery to see their amazing work, we think you’ll agree that they are spectacular and each one a deserved winner!

Thank you to everyone at Willesborough School, it was wonderful to meet you all.
